Accounting and Sales Support Specialist

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, positive personality to join our team for a full-time position. We are a successful leader in the Organic Produce Industry with decades of experience managing sales, accounting, marketing, freight dispatching, crop planning, packaging, harvesting, quality control and inventory management for our organic farmer clients. We believe that farming is honorable and necessary work, and we pride ourselves in supporting our clients and servicing our customers and vendors through prosperous, long-term win-win relationships.

The ideal candidate for this position of Accounting and Sales Support must:

• Have specific accounting training and knowledge, with a commitment to accuracy, follow through and ingenuity. This position requires one to be ‘strict’ with numbers but have enough mental flexibility to navigate the varying details that are inherent when handling both simple and complicated produce transactions.
• Have proven proficiency and in-depth knowledge of standard office applications including: Quick Books; Word; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint.
• Ideally the candidate would also have familiarity with industry software applications such as Famous and iTrade.
• Have the ability to accurately navigate and update details and documents on Web based customer, vendor, compliance and shipping portals.
• Have excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently within our systems when requested.
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize with strong attention to focus, details, and information retention.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and transactions simultaneously, while maintaining data integrity, consistency, and high quality of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the Food and/or Produce Industry is a plus.
• Support each other and participate with a good sense of humor in our sometimes very hectic yet professional, fun, and lively small office environment.
• Be willing to work on scheduled Saturday rotations.
• Wage commensurate with proven experience.

Minimal Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must provide at least 3 reputable references, that include past employers.
• Subject to background check prior to hiring.
